Out of the total IT job titles posted by MerckInc, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 49.47% in December 2021, and a 4.44% rise over November 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 21.05% in December 2021, and registered growth of 150%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 17.89% in December 2021, a 41.38% drop from November 2021.

North America drives IT hiring at MerckInc

North America emerged as the leading region in the global pharma IT hiring activity in December 2021 with a 38.95% share, which marked a 37.04% rise over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 37.89%, registering a 29.41% month-on-month decline. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with a 17.89% share and a 5.56% drop over November 2021.

In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 3.16% and a month-on-month increase of 50%. South & Central America stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 2.11%, registering a 71.43% drop over the previous month.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 38.95% share in December 2021, a 37.04% growth over November 2021. Czech Republic featured next with a 17.89% share, down 41.38% over the previous month. Singapore stood next with a 13.68% share, a flat growth over the previous month.

Junior Level jobs lead MerckInc IT hiring activity in December 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 58.95%, down by 12.5% from November 2021. Mid Level positions with a 20% share, a decline of 47.22% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 13.68% share, up 225% over November 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 7.37%, recording a month-on-month increase of 600%.
