If your company is involved in the manufacture of biological products, bulk chemical, solid dosage, medicinal chemicals and botanical products or veterinary products then we can help you improve your system.

Matcon Pacific Guildford West is a convenient one-stop product trials test plant. You can witness how we conduct product trials, and learn more about how Matcon can help you achieve flexible and cost-effective solutions in lean powder manufacturing.

Our product trials allow equipment evaluation and help you to see how we can meet your current and future manufacturing needs. We work alongside you to provide increased plant efficiency, flexibility, throughput and hygiene, which all lead to greater competitiveness in the market place, as well as increased profits.

At our test plant we use parallel processing, where the ingredient formulation, mixing and packing processes are performed separately.

In the formulation process, IBC filling from sack-tip stations are combined with a vibrating sieve. Filling into a batch IBC avoids product contamination while allowing great operator safety and productivity.

During in-bin blending, cleaning is performed ‘off-line’. The IBC is the mixing vessel, therefore it is not necessary to clean the blender itself which minimises risk of cross-contamination.

To overcome solid handling issues such as segregation, flushing, bridging, rat holing, and the closed material transfers, Matcon IBC systems incorporate Cone Valve Technology. This allows for closed material storage and automatic valve actuation, and also provides complete and controlled discharge of material whilst reducing the risk of segregation. It is specifically designed to effectively discharge and control all sorts of material, for example heavy, light, sluggish, or fluidised.

Direct packing allows powders to be packed into 25kg bags directly from IBC via a varistroke discharge station, without the need for cross feeders, and can be cleaned within nine minutes. Our discharge station guarantees discharge of difficult flowing material and no segregation takes place in the connection between the IBC and powder packer.
