IT jobs claimed a 5.72% share in the company’s total hiring activity in April 2021, and recorded a 0.8% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops MerckInc IT hiring in April 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by MerckInc, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 59.7% in April 2021, and a 29.03% growth over March 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 13.43% in April 2021, and registered a 50% decline. Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 8.96% in April 2021, a 100% rise from March 2021.
North America drives IT hiring at MerckInc
North America emerged as the leading region in the global pharma IT hiring activity in April 2021 with a 68.66% share, which marked a 21.05% growth over the previous month.
Europe stood next with 19.4%, registering a 40.91% month-on-month decline. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with a 7.46% share and a 66.67% growth over March 2021.
In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 2.99% and a month-on-month a flat growth. South & Central America stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 1.49%, registering a % rise over the previous month.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 68.66% share in April 2021, a 24.32% growth over March 2021. Czech Republic featured next with a 14.93% share, a flat growth over the previous month. Japan recorded a 4.48% share, a increase of % compared with March 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead MerckInc IT hiring activity in April 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 52.24%, down by 27.08% from March 2021. Mid Level positions with a 26.87% share, a growth of 125% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Senior job ads with 13.43% share, up 200% over March 2021, while Entry Level postings accounted for 7.46%, recording a month-on-month decline of 16.67%.
