Pharmaceutical Spray Drying Technology and Applications

Spray drying is the term used to succinctly describe a robust and scalable drying process in which liquids are first sprayed (atomised) to create droplets that are captured in a heated air or gas stream.

These small droplets evaporate/dry very quickly to yield small, dry particles of powder that are carried in the drying stream before being harvested, usually using a collection device known as a cyclone.
