UK-based company GSK’s IT hiring declined 5.5% in May 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 5.55% in May 2022 when compared with April 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 3.48% share in the company’s total hiring activity in May 2022, and recorded a 0.01% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops GSK IT hiring in May 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by GSK, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 39.22% in May 2022, and a 44.44% drop over April 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 31.37% in May 2022, and registered a decline of 15.79%. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 15.69% in May 2022, an 11.11% drop from April 2022.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at GSK

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global pharma IT hiring activity in May 2022 with a 60.78% share, which marked a 26.19% drop over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 29.41%, registering a 58.33% month-on-month decline. North America was the third leading region with a 7.84% share and a 20% drop over April 2022.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 1.96% and a month-on-month decline of 80%.

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 47.06% share in May 2022, a 14.29% decline over April 2022. The UK featured next with a 15.69% share, down 27.27% over the previous month. China recorded a 5.88% share, a decline of 76.92% compared with April 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead GSK IT hiring activity in May 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 64.71%, down by 49.23% from April 2022. Mid Level positions with a 27.45% share, a decline of 6.67% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 7.84% share, down 55.56% over April 2022.
