The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 2.33% in October 2021 when compared with September 2021.
Out of the pharma industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 6.2% share in October 2021, recording a decrease of 0.79% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Ireland’s pharma industry’s IT recruitment activity in October 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Ireland’s pharma industry in October 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 35.71% in October 2021, registering a 16.67% decline over the previous month.
2) Computer Support Specialists claimed a 17.86% share, an increase of 66.67% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 17.86%, registering a 150% rise from September 2021.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 17.86%, down 37.5% over the previous month.
Top five pharma companies in Ireland’s IT recruitment activity in October 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 25% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Ireland’s pharma industry during October 2021 over September 2021.
AbbVie posted 5 IT jobs in October 2021 and registered a rise of 25% over the previous month, followed by Johnson & Johnson with 4 jobs and a 55.56% drop. MerckInc with 4 IT jobs and Eli Lilly and with 4 jobs, recorded a 100% growth and a 300% growth, respectively, while Pfizer recorded a flat growth with 3 job postings during October 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 57.14%, flat growth from September 2021. Mid Level positions with a 35.71% share, registered a decline of 16.67% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Senior job ads with 3.57% share, flat growth over September 2021, while Entry Level postings accounted for 3.57%, recording a month-on-month decline of 66.67%.
