August 2022 has seen an increase of 2.91% in the overall hiring activity when compared with July 2022.

IT jobs accounted for a 1.84% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in August 2022, registering a decrease of 0.06% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in August 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in North America with a share of 42.27% in August 2022, a 13.2% rise over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 20.96% in August 2022, marking a 2.49% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 16.06% in August 2022, a 0.8% rise from July 2022.

Top five pharma companies in North America’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 9.97% in the overall IT recruitment activity of North America’s pharma industry during August 2022 over previous month.
Evolent Health posted 392 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered an increase of 223.97% over the previous month, followed by Intermountain Healthcare with 244 jobs and a 42.45% drop. The Hastings Center with 161 IT jobs and CVS Health with 145 jobs, recorded a 19.1% drop and a 31.82% rise, respectively, while Johnson & Johnson recorded a 7.07% increase with 106 job postings during August 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in North America’s pharma industry
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 97.04% share in August 2022, a 10.03% increase over July 2022. Canada featured next with a 2.48% share, down 10.34% over the previous month. Mexico recorded a 0.48% share, a drop of 51.61% compared with July 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 57.89%, up by 6.56% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with a 23.98% share, registered a growth of 3.01% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 17.72% share, up 24.89% over July 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.41%, recording a month-on-month growth of 160%.
