US-based company Parexel International’s IT hiring rose 30.4% in May 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 5.41% in May 2022 when compared with April 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 9.61% share in the company’s total hiring activity in May 2022, and recorded a 0.15% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Parexel International IT hiring in May 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Parexel International, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 79.59% in May 2022, and a 95% rise over April 2022, while Computer and Information Research Scientists claimed a share of 8.16% in May 2022, and registered growth of 300%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 8.16% in May 2022, a flat growth from April 2022.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at Parexel International

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global pharma IT hiring activity in May 2022 with a 55.1% share, which marked a 350% rise over the previous month.

North America stood next with 24.49%, registering a 140% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 12.24% share and a 14.29% drop over April 2022.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 6.12% and a month-on-month increase of 200%. Middle East & Africa stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 2.04%, registering an 80% drop over the previous month.

China commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 40.82% share in May 2022, a 566.67% growth over April 2022. US featured next with an 18.37% share, up 125% over the previous month. India recorded a 12.24% share, an increase of 200% compared with April 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead Parexel International IT hiring activity in May 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 71.43%, up by 133.33% from April 2022. Mid Level positions with an 18.37% share, a growth of 50% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Senior job ads with 6.12% share, flat growth over April 2022, while Entry Level postings accounted for 4.08%, recording a month-on-month decline of 33.33%.
