Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in October 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 43.18% in October 2021, a 58.33% rise over the previous month. Computer and Information Analysts came in next, claiming a share of 22.73% in October 2021, marking a 150% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 18.18% in October 2021, a 20% drop from September 2021.

PSI CRO posted 6 IT jobs in October 2021 and registered an increase of 100% over the previous month, followed by MerckInc with 4 jobs and a flat growth. Pfizer with 4 IT jobs and Johnson & Johnson with 4 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 100% rise, respectively, while AstraZeneca recorded a flat growth with 3 job postings during October 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in South & Central America’s pharma industry
Costa Rica commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 36.36% share in October 2021, a 166.67% increase over September 2021. Brazil featured next with a 27.27% share, down 7.69% over the previous month. Argentina recorded a 13.64% share, a flat growth compared with September 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 65.91%, up by 38.1% from September 2021. Mid Level positions with an 18.18% share, registered a growth of 60% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 15.91% share, flat growth over September 2021.
