The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 81.25% in the overall IT recruitment activity of South & Central America’s pharma industry during September 2022 over previous month.

Eurofins Scientific posted 10 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered an increase of 11.11% over the previous month, followed by AstraZeneca with 6 jobs and a flat growth. Hypera with 5 IT jobs and Johnson & Johnson with 4 jobs, recorded a 25% rise and a 33.33% rise, respectively, while Syneos Health recorded a flat growth with 4 job postings during September 2022.

Country-wise composition of IT hiring in South & Central America’s pharma industry

Costa Rica commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 40.91% share in September 2022, a 63.64% increase over August 2022. Brazil featured next with a 38.64% share, up 54.55% over the previous month. Argentina recorded a 6.82% share, a drop of 70% compared with August 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 65.91%, up by 16% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 20.45% share, registered a growth of 125% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 13.64% share, down 14.29% over August 2022.
