Spain’s pharma industry registered a 4.1% rise in IT hiring activity in February 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 2.16% in February 2022 when compared with January 2022.

Out of the pharma industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 10.34% share in February 2022, recording an increase of 0.39% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Spain’s pharma industry’s IT recruitment activity in February 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 102.63% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain’s pharma industry in February 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 68.42% in February 2022, registering an 18.18% growth over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 21.05% share, an increase of 300% over the previous month.

3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 7.89%, registering a flat growth from January 2022.

4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 5.26%, down 50% over the previous month.

Top five pharma companies in Spain’s IT recruitment activity in February 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 433.33% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain’s pharma industry during February 2022 over January 2022.

Bayer posted 16 IT jobs in February 2022 and registered a rise of 700% over the previous month, followed by Sanofi with 6 jobs and a 100% growth. Grifols with 4 IT jobs and Novartis with 3 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 200% growth, respectively, while Oak Street Health recorded a flat growth with 3 job postings during February 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in February 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 68.42%, up by 225% from January 2022. Mid Level positions with a 15.79% share, registered a decline of 60% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 15.79% share, up 20% over January 2022.
