Switzerland’s pharma industry registered a 3.4% rise in IT hiring activity in September 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 1.8% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.
Out of the pharma industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 4.02% share in September 2021, recording an increase of 0.38% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Switzerland’s pharma industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Switzerland’s pharma industry in September 2021.
1) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations recorded a share of 36% in September 2021, registering a 28.57% flat growth over the previous month.
2) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers claimed a 36% share, a decrease of 10% over the previous month.
3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 16%, registering a flat growth from August 2021.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 8%, flat growth over the previous month.
Top five pharma companies in Switzerland’s IT recruitment activity in September 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 12.5% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Switzerland’s pharma industry during September 2021 over August 2021.
F. Hoffmann-La Roche posted 6 IT jobs in September 2021 and registered a drop of 40% over the previous month, followed by Lonza Group with 4 jobs and a 300% growth. Idorsia Pharmaceutical with 3 IT jobs and CSL with 3 jobs, recorded a 50% flat growth and a 50% flat growth, respectively, while Biogen recorded an increase of 100% with 2 job postings during September 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 72%, down by 5.26% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with a 16% share, registered a decline of 33.33% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 12% share, up 200% over August 2021.
