Switzerland’s pharma industry registered a 40.9% rise in IT hiring activity in November 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 7.86% in November 2021 when compared with October 2021.
Out of the pharma industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 5.3% share in November 2021, recording an increase of 1.22% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Switzerland’s pharma industry’s IT recruitment activity in November 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 103.03% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Switzerland’s pharma industry in November 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 57.58% in November 2021, registering a 58.33% flat growth over the previous month.
2) Computer Support Specialists claimed an 18.18% share, an increase of 1100% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 12.12%, registering a flat growth from October 2021.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 12.12%, up 33.33% over the previous month.
Top five pharma companies in Switzerland’s IT recruitment activity in November 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 161.9% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Switzerland’s pharma industry during November 2021 over October 2021.
Octapharma posted 23 IT jobs in November 2021 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by F. Hoffmann-La Roche with 11 jobs and an 8.33% drop. CSL with 9 IT jobs and Idorsia Pharmaceutical with 7 jobs, recorded a 125% flat growth and a 75% flat growth, respectively, while Lonza Group recorded an increase of 400% with 5 job postings during November 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 75.76%, up by 233.33% from October 2021. Mid Level positions with a 15.15% share, registered a decline of 28.57% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 9.09% share, flat growth over October 2021.
