Peru now has more than 237,000 confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), as well as more than 7,000 deaths, the second-highest cases reported across Latin America. Since the beginning of April, Covid-19 death rates in Peru have surpassed the death rates reported in Mainland China.
