Vitamin D affects Covid-19 mortality

A need to comprehend which populations are most at risk of developing severe disease or dying from Covid-19 grows ever more critical as Covid-19 continues to spread across the world. Recent studies have found an association between vitamin D and Covid-19 severity and mortality, claiming the former may protect from viral infection and ameliorate the symptoms of Covid-19.

A recent study demonstrated that across 20 European countries, an association exists between low levels of vitamin D and higher numbers of Covid-19 cases and mortality. Read more here.
