Joining forces to protect the planet. It is in this spirit that IMS Srl announces the launch of its partnership with Ogyre, the first global Fishing for Litter platform, active in the removal of marine debris through the direct involvement of local fishing communities in Italy, Brazil, and Indonesia. This concrete and measurable initiative translates into a very specific commitment: to eliminate 4,000kg of plastic and waste in one year, taking widespread action on multiple fronts and making a tangible contribution to the protection of marine ecosystems.

This new alliance fits perfectly with the sustainability vision that IMS Srl has been pursuing for years, a path made of precise operational choices and daily attention to the environmental impact of its activities. This approach is now further enhanced by an international project capable of combining social responsibility, innovation, and care for the local area, thanks to the direct involvement of local fishermen who become active protagonists of real change.

“We are proud to announce this collaboration with Ogyre,” says Elena Marangoni, CEO of IMS Srl. “It’s not just about supporting a worthy initiative, but is also about joining a global network that works every day to protect the sea and its biodiversity. This commitment is driven by a commitment to giving back and creating a positive impact, which for us represents not just added value, but a fundamental part of our way of doing business.”

IMS’s commitment is not limited to funding marine litter collection activities, but also tries to raise awareness by actively involving employees, customers, and partners in a process that aims to foster a shared culture of sustainability. Every step toward a more virtuous model depends on the ability to include and motivate all stakeholders in the system.

‘Together with Ogyre, we are committed not only to supporting the recovery of plastic from the sea and coasts, but also to promoting environmental awareness and integrating positive impact into our corporate strategy’, continues Marangoni. ‘It is a path that requires coherence, transparency and responsibility, values in which we deeply believe and which guide all our decisions, even when it comes to interventions that do not directly concern our production chain but speak to the future, the community and courageous choices’.

The decision to partner with Ogyre, therefore, stems not from a communication strategy but from a clear desire to take an active role in an increasingly fragile global context. Today, more than ever, industry is called upon to do its part, and IMS is responding with a concrete, quantifiable gesture that goes beyond mere announcements and translates into daily action.

This new initiative complements all the other environmental activities already underway by the company, from ISO 14001 certification to the constant search for low-impact solutions, to the definition of an increasingly conscious industrial model, in which economic growth is accompanied by a genuine return to the local area and the community.
