Nymi, Inc is pleased to announce that it will be teaming up with Quuppa to utilise the latter’s Real-Time Locating Systems (RTLS) to drive innovative industry applications for the Nymi Band™. This partnership will provide businesses with deeper insight into day-to-day organisational operations and create new opportunities to improve workplace efficiency and safety.

Quuppa’s tracking system uses Bluetooth® tags to determine the real-time location of a person or device. With this partnership, Nymi’s workplace wearable wristbands will become an asset tag in the broader tracking ecosystem. As the world’s only workplace wearable that, once authenticated, continuously verifies the identity of the user until it’s removed from the wrist, this technology also provides a strong security authentication factor to businesses.

“To support the growing demand for stronger workplace solutions for active workers, we’re excited to take our innovative wearables to the next level through this partnership with Quuppa. Nymi customers can extend the use of their investment to include real-time location tracking. Together, we can provide businesses with the real-time insight needed to optimise workspaces for greater identity assurance, security, and better productivity and safety” said Andrew Foxcroft, Vice President of Nymi.

This solution integration will help current Nymi customers explore new workplace applications that require real-time location sensing. In addition, the partnership will enable Quuppa to enter new vertical markets, such as pharmaceutical manufacturing with Nymi currently serving nine of the 10 top pharmaceutical companies. In these industries, location can be a critical element of a safe and efficient operation, and this integration enables numerous location-based use cases such as virtual fencing, health and safety applications, and location analysis to protect workers, facilities and products.

“In today’s business environments, optimising workspaces means prioritising safety. To do this, businesses need the most accurate view of activity across floors and offices with strong identity assurance and security,” said Seth Noone, Regional Vice President at Quuppa. “In working with Nymi, we’re able to bring our innovative location sensing system into new industries that require these deeper insights.”
