At this year’s POWTECH in Nuremberg, Germany, Romaco FrymaKoruma will be presenting the Frymix II vacuum processing unit for the first time. The new unit is particularly suited for the production of pharmaceuticals and high-quality cosmetics. Equipped with a high-performance rotor-rotor system, as well as an innovative guide cone, this proven and unique technology offers efficient process management for the highest product quality.

The newly fitted vacuum processing unit FrymaKoruma Frymix II convinces with its innovative processing tool, which is integrated into a closed vessel system. The high-performance homogenizer with rotor-rotor system has a conical shape. With its precisely defined shearing energy, it processes the ingredients to the desired droplet size and distribution. In the opposite direction of rotation, the product can be mixed and circulated with no shearing. A funnel-shaped guide cone ensures high turbulence in the interior of the vessel, as well as optimal deaeration during the thin-film procedure. The unique machine design enables an effective and continual heat exchange during the individual heating and cooling phases. Thanks to its innovative product flow, the technology is particularly suitable for the processing of heat and shear sensitive products.

The Frymix II was specifically designed for the manufacture of high-quality emulsions and suspensions for the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry. Its development strictly followed the cGMP and GAMP guidelines. The internal product circulation, as well as no use of external recirculation lines, offer optimal conditions for a rapid and thorough cleaning and sterilization. Based on the configuration of the machine actuators in the lid of the vessel, the seal systems do not come into contact with the product flow. The Frymix II can therefore be equipped with shaft seal or mechanical sealing concepts. Even from a cost perspective, the new design of the Frymix II is advantageous.

At POWTECH 2010 Romaco FrymaKoruma presents the new Frymix II and a toothed colloid mill from the FrymaKoruma MZ series. The products can be seen from 27 to 29 April in Nuremberg, in hall 6, at booth 6-233.
