FPS Food and Pharma Systems

FPS Food and Pharma Systems will display its innovative solutions for containment and micronisation at CPhI in Barcelona.

Presenting from 4 October to 6 October, FPS Food and Pharma Systems will present, together with its partner Dott. Bonapace & C, an advanced solution for containment needs: the isolator for tablet press.

This unit is composed of a single chamber, which fully encloses the tablet press machine. The same bag-in and bag-out system is used either to introduce the raw material or to remove the formed tablets. Viewing panels installed on three sides of the isolator are complete with large glove ports to allow the full access to the entire machine during normal operations without exposing the operator to the processed powder.

This unit guarantees a containment level up to OEB5 while working with a tablet press or a capsule filling machine.

FPS will also display its Multimilling Platform, which integrates a spiral jet mill (typically a PilotMill-4 or PilotMill-5), a loop mill (QMill6), and mechanical mills such as the PinMill-100 and the HammerMill-100 on the same support, with minimum footprint. This pilot scale solution allows easy process upscaling. A cryogenic exchanger can be integrated into the unit to reduce the process temperature down to -100°C.

A special FPS multimill platform + isolator configuration allows the processing of up to OEB5 products.

FPS’ design approach is fully customer oriented to reach the best final result: tailor-made equipment, for a solution engineered in coordination with the end user.

FPS R&D center, recently re-modernised and expanded with three new dedicated ISO 8 cleanrooms, is available for all possible kind of collaborations.
