The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 3.37% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 10.46% share in the company’s total hiring activity in August 2021, and recorded a 0.89% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops F. Hoffmann-La Roche IT hiring in August 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by F. Hoffmann-La Roche, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 57.55% in August 2021, and a 14.89% drop over July 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 12.23% in August 2021, and registered growth of 6.25%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 10.07% in August 2021, a 40% rise from July 2021.
North America drives IT hiring at F. Hoffmann-La Roche
North America emerged as the leading region in the global pharma IT hiring activity in August 2021 with a 47.48% share, which marked a 7.04% drop over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 25.18%, registering a 2.94% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 20.14% share and a 26.32% drop over July 2021.
In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 5.76% and a month-on-month increase of 300%. Middle East & Africa stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 1.44%, registering a flat growth over the previous month.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 42.45% share in August 2021, a 6.35% decline over July 2021. China featured next with a 9.35% share, up 62.5% over the previous month. India recorded a 7.91% share, a decline of 42.11% compared with July 2021.

Junior Level jobs held a share of 53.96%, up by 7.14% from July 2021. Mid Level positions with a 33.09% share, a decline of 30.3% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 12.95% share, up 63.64% over July 2021.
