Management Occupations drive pharma industry hiring activity

Of the industry's total hiring activity, the highest number of new job postings were for Management Occupations, which accounted for 22% of the total new job postings in Q3 2023 and were down by 35% year-on-year. Second highest were Life, Physical, and Social Science Occupations, which accounted for 9% and drop by 65% year-on-year, and third highest were Healthcare Practitioners and Technical Occupations, which were 23% of the new job postings and 69% lower year-on-year.

Top five companies in pharma industry accounted for 40% of hiring activity

The highest number of jobs were posted by Charles River Laboratories International with 120, followed by Pharmascience with 119, while the highest increase was at AstraZeneca at 37%.
