
US-based company Johnson & Johnson’s IT hiring declined 0.4% in August 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 1.2% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 5.08% share in the company’s total hiring activity in August 2021, and recorded a 0.04% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Johnson & Johnson IT hiring in August 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Johnson & Johnson, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 50.59% in August 2021, and a flat growth over July 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 21.18% in August 2021, and registered growth of 80%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 14.12% in August 2021, a 29.41% drop from July 2021.
North America drives IT hiring at Johnson & Johnson
North America emerged as the leading region in the global pharma IT hiring activity in August 2021 with a 65.88% share, which marked a 12% rise over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 14.12%, registering a 20% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 12.94% share and a 42.11% drop over July 2021.
In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 7.06% and a month-on-month decline of 25%.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 58.82% share in August 2021, a 4.17% growth over July 2021. Brazil featured next with a 5.88% share, down 37.5% over the previous month. Mexico recorded a 4.71% share, an increase of 100% compared with July 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead Johnson & Johnson IT hiring activity in August 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 48.24%, up by 10.81% from July 2021. Mid Level positions with a 41.18% share, a decline of 12.5% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 10.59% share, down 18.18% over July 2021.
