The company’s overall hiring activity an increased by 21.95% in June 2021 when compared with May 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 7.82% share in the company’s total hiring activity in June 2021, and recorded a 0.83% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops PPD IT hiring in June 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by PPD, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 74.68% in June 2021, and a 68.57% growth over May 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 10.13% in June 2021, and registered a 166.67% an increase. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 5.06% in June 2021, a 20% drop from May 2021.

North America emerged as the leading region in the global pharma IT hiring activity in June 2021 with a 54.43% share, which marked a 72% growth over the previous month.
Asia-Pacific stood next with 34.18%, registering an 80% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with an 11.39% share and an 80% growth over May 2021.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 50.63% share in June 2021, a 60% growth over May 2021. India featured next with a 26.58% share, up 110% over the previous month.United Kingdom recorded a 5.06% share, an increase of 33.33% compared with May 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead PPD IT hiring activity in June 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 44.3%, down by 5.41% from May 2021. Entry Level positions with a 36.71% share, a growth of 1350% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 18.99% share, up 150% over May 2021.
