Bortezomib overview

Bortezomib (Velcade) is a dipeptide boronic acid analogue with anti-neoplastic activity. It is formulated as lyophilized powder for solution for intravenous or subcutaneous route of administration. Velcade is indicated for the treatment of multiple myeloma. The drug candidate is under development for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer, graft versus host disease, relapsed or refractory acute myelogenous leukemia, primary plasma cell leukemia, acute lymphoblastic leukemia and myelodysplastic syndrome.
