CyPep-1 is under clinical development by Cytovation and currently in Phase II for Solid Tumor. According to GlobalData, Phase II drugs for Solid Tumor have a 10% phase transition success rate (PTSR) indication benchmark for progressing into Phase III. GlobalData’s report assesses how CyPep-1’s drug-specific PTSR and Likelihood of Approval (LoA) scores compare to the indication benchmarks. Buy the report here.

GlobalData tracks drug-specific phase transition and likelihood of approval scores, in addition to indication benchmarks based off 18 years of historical drug development data. Attributes of the drug, company and its clinical trials play a fundamental role in drug-specific PTSR and likelihood of approval.

CyPep-1 overview

CyPep-1 is under development for the treatment of cutaneous warts (papillomas) caused by human papilloma virus, skin tumors, metastatic melanoma, nasopharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma, head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) and triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) and cancers and recurrent respiratory papillomatosis (RRP). It is administered topically as cream for warts and intratumorally and subcutaneous for solid tumors and lymphoma. CyPep-1 is a tumor specific, cytotoxic peptide with extreme lipid penetrating properties. CyPep-1 targets the wart cells and induces rapid necrotic cell death. The drug candidate was also under development for the treatment of multi-resistant bacterial infections such as E.coli infections.

Cytovation overview

Cytovation is a biotech company that develops novel therapeutic agents for skin diseases and infections. The company’s lead candidate includes CyPep-1, a novel peptide and an anti-bacterial compound. Its CyPep-1 is developed for skin disorders such as papilloma diseases, tumors of skin warts caused from HPV transfected transformed keratinocytes and cypep-1 selectivly targets and lyses skin tumor cells due to negative chargeon cell membrenes. Cytovation targets the wart cells and destroys the transformed cancer cells and a wide range of drug resistant bacterias such as E-coli bacterias. The company partners with pharmaceutical companies, scientific institutions and research organizations. Cytovation is headquartered in Bergen, Norway.
