Sodium nitrite (RESP301) is under development for the treatment of coronavirus disease 2019 caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), pulmonary tuberculosis and cystic fibrosis. The drug candidate is formulated as nebulizer solution and administered by inhalational route.
It was also under development for the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and bronchiectasis.
