Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 48.65% in November 2022, a 10.56% drop over the previous month. Computer and Information Analysts came in next, claiming a share of 21.96% in November 2022, marking a 28.57% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 14.19% in November 2022, a 37.31% drop from October 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 54.63% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s pharma industry during November 2022 over previous month.
AstraZeneca posted 60 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered an increase of 15.38% over the previous month, followed by Merck with 34 jobs and an 112.5% growth. Syneos Health with 31 IT jobs and Parexel International with 26 jobs, recorded a 93.75% rise and a 23.81% rise, respectively, while Sanofi recorded a 433.33% increase with 16 job postings during November 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s pharma industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 68.24% share in November 2022, a 3.35% decrease over October 2022. China featured next with an 11.82% share, up 6.06% over the previous month. Singapore recorded a 5.41% share, a growth of 14.29% compared with October 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 53.38%, down by 30.7% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 33.11% share, registered a growth of 1.03% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 13.51% share, down 32.2% over October 2022.
