Top five pharma companies in Asia-Pacific’s IT recruitment activity in May 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 5.84% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s pharma industry during May 2022 over previous month.

AstraZeneca posted 43 IT jobs in May 2022 and registered a decline of 25.86% over the previous month, followed by GSK with 31 jobs and a 26.19% drop. Parexel International with 27 IT jobs and Ministry of Health, New South Wales, Australia with 23 jobs, recorded a 350% rise and a 15% rise, respectively, while Bayer recorded a 90.91% increase with 21 job postings during May 2022.

Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s pharma industry

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 59.18% share in May 2022, a 15.53% decrease over April 2022. China featured next with a 15.65% share, up 17.95% over the previous month. Australia recorded a 12.59% share, a growth of 19.35% compared with April 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in May 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 70.75%, up by 2.46% from April 2022. Mid Level positions with a 21.09% share, registered a decline of 35.42% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 6.8% share, down 23.08% over April 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.36%, recording a month-on-month growth of 300%.
