IT jobs accounted for a 4.61% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in February 2022, registering an increase of 0.12% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in February 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 60.67% in February 2022, a 4.12% rise over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 16.31% in February 2022, marking a 19.05% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 10.79% in February 2022, an 8.16% drop from January 2022.

Top five pharma companies in Asia-Pacific’s IT recruitment activity in February 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 5.11% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s pharma industry during February 2022 over previous month.
Ministry of Health, New South Wales, Australia posted 41 IT jobs in February 2022 and registered an increase of 28.13% over the previous month, followed by Novo Nordisk with 38 jobs and a 13.64% drop. Parexel International with 32 IT jobs and GlaxoSmithKline with 29 jobs, recorded an 88.24% rise and a 19.44% drop, respectively, while Eli Lilly and recorded a 42.55% decline with 27 job postings during February 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s pharma industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 63.07% share in February 2022, an 8.68% increase over January 2022. Australia featured next with an 18.23% share, up 49.02% over the previous month. China recorded a 7.43% share, a drop of 41.51% compared with January 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in February 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 58.99%, up by 2.93% from January 2022. Mid Level positions with a 32.37% share, registered a growth of 2.27% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 7.91% share, down 8.33% over January 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.72%, recording a month-on-month growth of 200%.
