UK-based company AstraZeneca ’s IT hiring declined 1.4% in October 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 7.03% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.

IT jobs claimed an 8.8% share in the company’s total hiring activity in October 2022, and recorded a 0.36% growth over the last three-month average share.

Computer and Information Analysts tops AstraZeneca IT hiring in October 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by AstraZeneca, Computer and Information Analysts emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 38.61% in October 2022, and a 34.48% rise over September 2022, while Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers claimed a share of 28.71% in October 2022, and registered growth of 26.09%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 15.84% in October 2022, a 30.43% drop from September 2022.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at AstraZeneca

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global pharma IT hiring activity in October 2022 with a 51.49% share, which marked a 20.93% rise over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 23.76%, registering a 14.29% month-on-month growth. North America was the third leading region with a 21.78% share and a 15.38% drop over September 2022.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 2.97% and a month-on-month decline of 50%.

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 46.53% share in October 2022, a 17.5% growth over September 2022. US featured next with a 12.87% share, up 8.33% over the previous month. Mexico recorded an 8.91% share, a decline of 25% compared with September 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead AstraZeneca IT hiring activity in October 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 60.4%, up by 3.39% from September 2022. Mid Level positions with a 29.7% share, a growth of 3.45% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 8.91% share, up 28.57% over September 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.99%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
