AstraZeneca’s IT hiring activity rises 25.4% in May 2022

UK-based company AstraZeneca’s IT hiring rose 25.4% in May 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 35.92% in May 2022 when compared with April 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 5.56% share in the company’s total hiring activity in May 2022, and recorded a 1.2% growth over the last three-month average share.

Miscellaneous Computer Occupations tops AstraZeneca IT hiring in May 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by AstraZeneca, Miscellaneous Computer Occupations emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 37.27% in May 2022, and a 105% rise over April 2022, while Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers claimed a share of 29.09% in May 2022, and registered a decline of 36%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 19.09% in May 2022, a 31.25% rise from April 2022.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at AstraZeneca

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global pharma IT hiring activity in May 2022 with a 39.09% share, which marked a 25.86% drop over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 35.45%, registering a 105.26% month-on-month growth. North America was the third leading region with a 22.73% share and a 24.24% drop over April 2022.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 2.73% and a month-on-month increase of 200%.

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 26.36% share in May 2022, a 45.28% decline over April 2022. Poland featured next with a 15.45% share, up 88.89% over the previous month. The UK recorded a 14.55% share, an increase of 100% compared with April 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead AstraZeneca IT hiring activity in May 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 72.73%, up by 35.59% from April 2022. Mid Level positions with a 15.45% share, a decline of 63.83% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 10% share, up 175% over April 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.82%, recording a month-on-month increase of 100%.
