Australia’s pharma industry registered a 3.3% rise in IT hiring activity in March 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 16.11% in March 2022 when compared with February 2022.
Out of the pharma industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 1.52% share in March 2022, recording an increase of 0.02% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Australia’s pharma industry’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia’s pharma industry in March 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 44.07% in March 2022, registering a 25.71% decline over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 22.03% share, an increase of 18.18% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 18.64%, registering a 26.67% decline from February 2022.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 10.17%, flat growth over the previous month.
Top five pharma companies in Australia’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 11.32% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia’s pharma industry during March 2022 over February 2022.
Ministry of Health, New South Wales, Australia posted 47 IT jobs in March 2022 and registered a rise of 14.63% over the previous month. Novotech Australia with 3 IT jobs and CSL Plasma with 3 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 50% decrease, respectively, while CSL recorded a decline of 50% with 3 job postings during March 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in March 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 71.19%, down by 30% from February 2022. Mid Level positions with an 18.64% share, registered a flat growth compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 10.17% share, down 25% over February 2022.
