China’s pharma industry registered a 0.7% rise in IT hiring activity in December 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 6.98% in December 2021 when compared with November 2021.
Out of the pharma industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.72% share in December 2021, recording an increase of 0.17% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in China’s pharma industry’s IT recruitment activity in December 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s pharma industry in December 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 77.78% in December 2021, registering a flat growth over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 7.94% share, a decrease of 28.57% over the previous month.
3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 4.76%, registering a flat growth from November 2021.
4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 4.76%, down 50% over the previous month.
Top five pharma companies in China’s IT recruitment activity in December 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 4.44% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s pharma industry during December 2021 over November 2021.
Parexel International posted 17 IT jobs in December 2021 and registered a drop of 26.09% over the previous month, followed by Pfizer with 10 jobs and a 100% growth. F. Hoffmann-La Roche with 9 IT jobs and GlaxoSmithKline with 6 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 14.29% decrease, respectively, while Novo Nordisk recorded an increase of 400% with 5 job postings during December 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in December 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 60.32%, down by 2.56% from November 2021. Mid Level positions with a 19.05% share, registered a decline of 33.33% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 19.05% share, flat growth over November 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 1.59%, recording a month-on-month decline of 50%.
