June 2022 has seen a decrease of 6.31% in the overall hiring activity when compared with May 2022.

IT jobs accounted for a 3.82% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in June 2022, registering a decrease of 0.16% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in June 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 34.02% in June 2022, a 31.8% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 25.75% in June 2022, marking a 13.85% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 16.78% in June 2022, a 6.41% drop from May 2022.

Top five pharma companies in Europe’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 3.24% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s pharma industry during June 2022 over previous month.
Johnson & Johnson posted 57 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered an increase of 111.11% over the previous month, followed by Octapharma with 40 jobs and a 25.93% drop. AstraZeneca with 33 IT jobs and F. Hoffmann-La Roche with 33 jobs, recorded a 40% drop and a 17.86% rise, respectively, while MerckInc recorded a 33.33% increase with 28 job postings during June 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s pharma industry
The UK commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 20.46% share in June 2022, a 7.29% decrease over May 2022. Switzerland featured next with an 11.49% share, down 30.56% over the previous month. Germany recorded a 10.11% share, a drop of 36.23% compared with May 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 70.57%, down by 25.3% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 20% share, registered a decline of 13% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 9.43% share, down 33.87% over May 2022.
