Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations leads by classification in October 2022
Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 38.09% in October 2022, a 35.98% rise over the previous month. Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers came in next, claiming a share of 25.92% in October 2022, marking a 20.8% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 16.23% in October 2022, a 10.14% drop from September 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 66.97% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s pharma industry during October 2022 over previous month.
Your World Healthcare posted 197 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered an increase of 173.61% over the previous month, followed by PSI CRO with 64 jobs and a 42.22% growth. Eurofins Scientific with 42 IT jobs and F. Hoffmann-La Roche with 34 jobs, recorded a 37.31% drop and a 78.95% rise, respectively, while Johnson & Johnson recorded a 77.78% increase with 32 job postings during October 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s pharma industry
The UK commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 40.58% share in October 2022, a 57.36% increase over September 2022. Poland featured next with an 8.12% share, down 8.82% over the previous month. Switzerland recorded a 6.15% share, a drop of 34.72% compared with September 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 79.45%, up by 9.76% from September 2022. Entry Level positions with an 11.78% share, registered a growth of 28.57% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 7.59% share, down 43.14% over September 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.18%, recording a month-on-month growth of 12.5%.
