Germany’s pharma industry registered an 11.9% drop in IT hiring activity in November 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 6.99% in November 2022 when compared with October 2022.
Out of the pharma industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.09% share in November 2022, recording a decrease of 0.18% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Germany’s pharma industry’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s pharma industry in November 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 39.02% in November 2022, registering a flat growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 31.71% share, an increase of 30% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 17.07%, registering a 30% decline from October 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 12.2%, flat growth over the previous month.
Top five pharma companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in November 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 170% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s pharma industry during November 2022 over October 2022.
Fresenius SEKGaA posted 12 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered a rise of 300% over the previous month, followed by PSI CRO with 5 jobs and a 150% growth. Eurofins Scientific with 4 IT jobs and MerckInc with 3 jobs, recorded a 33.33% growth and a 50% growth, respectively, while Boehringer Ingelheim International recorded a flat growth with 3 job postings during November 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 68.29%, down by 17.65% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 26.83% share, registered an increase of 37.5% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 4.88% share, down 33.33% over October 2022.
