Germany’s pharma industry registered a 5.8% drop in IT hiring activity in September 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 3.71% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.
Out of the pharma industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.17% share in September 2022, recording a decrease of 0.39% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Germany’s pharma industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s pharma industry in September 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 30% in September 2022, registering a flat growth over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 23.33% share, an increase of 250% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 21.67%, registering a 31.58% decline from August 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 21.67%, down 13.33% over the previous month.
Top five pharma companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 78.26% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s pharma industry during September 2022 over August 2022.
Eurofins Scientific posted 12 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a rise of 9.09% over the previous month, followed by BioNTech with 11 jobs and an 83.33% growth. Merck with 9 IT jobs and Bayer with 7 jobs, recorded a 350% growth and a 250% growth, respectively, while CompuGroup Medical SEKGaA recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during September 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 68.33%, down by 10.87% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 25% share, registered an increase of 66.67% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 6.67% share, up 33.33% over August 2022.
