Germany’s pharma industry registered a 7.2% drop in IT hiring activity in August 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 1.24% in August 2022 when compared with July 2022.
Out of the pharma industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.48% share in August 2022, recording a decrease of 0.36% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Germany’s pharma industry’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s pharma industry in August 2022.
1) Database and Network Administrators and Architects recorded a share of 32.2% in August 2022, registering a 58.33% growth over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 28.81% share, an increase of 6.25% over the previous month.
3) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers held a share of 28.81%, registering a 21.43% rise from July 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 6.78%, flat growth over the previous month.
Top five pharma companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 47.83% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s pharma industry during August 2022 over July 2022.
Eurofins Scientific posted 11 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered a rise of 120% over the previous month, followed by F. Hoffmann-La Roche with 9 jobs and an 800% growth. BioNTech with 6 IT jobs and Schreiner MediPharm with 4 jobs, recorded a 100% growth and a 42.86% decrease, respectively, while Bayer recorded a decline of 42.86% with 4 job postings during August 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 77.97%, up by 24.32% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with a 16.95% share, registered an increase of 25% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 5.08% share, up 50% over July 2022.
