UK-based company GlaxoSmithKline’s IT hiring rose 2.0% in October 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 1.51% in October 2021 when compared with September 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 7.21% share in the company’s total hiring activity in October 2021, and recorded a 0.07% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops GlaxoSmithKline IT hiring in October 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by GlaxoSmithKline, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 68.54% in October 2021, and a 56.41% rise over September 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 8.99% in October 2021, and registered growth of 14.29%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 8.99% in October 2021, an 11.11% drop from September 2021.
Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at GlaxoSmithKline
Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global pharma IT hiring activity in October 2021 with a 41.57% share, which marked an 8.82% rise over the previous month.
Europe stood next with 38.2%, registering a 6.25% month-on-month growth. North America was the third leading region with a 16.85% share and an 114.29% rise over September 2021.
In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 3.37% and a month-on-month increase of 50%.
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 39.33% share in October 2021, a 12.9% growth over September 2021. Poland featured next with a 17.98% share, up 23.08% over the previous month. US recorded a 15.73% share, an increase of 100% compared with September 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead GlaxoSmithKline IT hiring activity in October 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 61.8%, up by 12.24% from September 2021. Mid Level positions with a 24.72% share, a growth of 46.67% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Senior job ads with 6.74% share, flat growth over September 2021, while Entry Level postings accounted for 6.74%, recording a month-on-month decline of 45.45%.
