US-based company MerckInc’s IT hiring declined 1.2% in June 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 13.1% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.
IT jobs claimed a 5.91% share in the company’s total hiring activity in June 2022, and recorded a 0.71% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops MerckInc IT hiring in June 2022
Out of the total IT job titles posted by MerckInc, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 35.29% in June 2022, and a 9.09% rise over May 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 26.47% in June 2022, and registered growth of 200%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 22.06% in June 2022, a 50% rise from May 2022.
North America drives IT hiring at MerckInc
North America emerged as the leading region in the global pharma IT hiring activity in June 2022 with a 48.53% share, which marked a 200% rise over the previous month.
Europe stood next with 41.18%, registering a 33.33% month-on-month growth. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with a 7.35% share and a 64.29% drop over May 2022.
In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 1.47% and a month-on-month decline of 80%. South & Central America stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 1.47%, registering a flat growth over the previous month.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 48.53% share in June 2022, a 200% growth over May 2022. Czech Republic featured next with a 23.53% share, up 77.78% over the previous month. Ireland recorded a 7.35% share, an increase of 25% compared with May 2022.
Junior Level jobs lead MerckInc IT hiring activity in June 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 67.65%, up by 24.32% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 25% share, a growth of 112.5% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 4.41% share, down 50% over May 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 2.94%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
