US-based company MerckInc’s IT hiring rose 6.0% in April 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 0% in April 2022 when compared with March 2022.
IT jobs claimed an 8.54% share in the company’s total hiring activity in April 2022, and recorded a 0.74% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops MerckInc IT hiring in April 2022
Out of the total IT job titles posted by MerckInc, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 48.15% in April 2022, and a 15.22% drop over March 2022, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 19.75% in April 2022, and registered growth of 45.45%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 14.81% in April 2022, a 20% drop from March 2022.
North America drives IT hiring at MerckInc
North America emerged as the leading region in the global pharma IT hiring activity in April 2022 with a 53.09% share, which marked a 26.47% rise over the previous month.
Europe stood next with 22.22%, registering a 35.71% month-on-month decline. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with an 18.52% share and a flat growth over March 2022.
In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 4.94% and a month-on-month increase of 300%. Middle East & Africa stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 1.23%, registering a flat growth over the previous month.
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 50.62% share in April 2022, a 24.24% growth over March 2022. Singapore featured next with an 11.11% share, down 25% over the previous month. Czech Republic recorded an 11.11% share, a decline of 30.77% compared with March 2022.
Junior Level jobs lead MerckInc IT hiring activity in April 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 62.96%, up by 15.91% from March 2022. Mid Level positions with a 20.99% share, a decline of 22.73% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 13.58% share, up 10% over March 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 2.47%, recording a month-on-month decline of 33.33%.
