Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in March 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Middle East & Africa with a share of 59.09% in March 2022, an 116.67% rise over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 22.73% in March 2022, marking a flat month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 13.64% in March 2022, a 50% rise from February 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 1200% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Middle East & Africa’s pharma industry during March 2022 over previous month.
Twist Bioscience posted 4 IT jobs in March 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Jhpiego with 3 jobs and a 200% growth. Abt Associates with 2 IT jobs and Quanticate with 2 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Middle East & Africa’s pharma industry
Israel commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 27.27% share in March 2022, a 50% increase over February 2022. South Africa featured next with a 22.73% share, up 150% over the previous month. Tanzania recorded an 18.18% share, a flat growth compared with February 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in March 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 50%, up by 175% from February 2022. Mid Level positions with a 36.36% share, registered a growth of 100% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 13.64% share, down 25% over February 2022.
