Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in North America with a share of 30.9% in November 2022, a 42.48% drop over the previous month. Computer and Information Analysts came in next, claiming a share of 25.09% in November 2022, marking a 9% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 20.18% in November 2022, a 27.92% drop from October 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 3.41% in the overall IT recruitment activity of North America’s pharma industry during November 2022 over previous month.
Intermountain Healthcare posted 269 IT jobs in November 2022 and registered an increase of 55.49% over the previous month, followed by CVS Health with 125 jobs and a 17.22% drop. Bausch Health Companies with 84 IT jobs and Laboratoryof America Holdings with 57 jobs, recorded a 33.33% drop and a 9.52% drop, respectively, while Alberta Health Services recorded a 6.82% decline with 41 job postings during November 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in North America’s pharma industry
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 94.35% share in November 2022, a 35.87% decrease over October 2022. Canada featured next with a 4.86% share, down 9.8% over the previous month. Mexico recorded a 0.79% share, a drop of 31.82% compared with October 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 53.94%, down by 42.12% from October 2022. Mid Level positions with a 28.9% share, registered a decline of 14.53% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 16.75% share, down 34.23% over October 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.42%, recording a month-on-month decline of 65.22%.
