US-based company Parexel International ’s IT hiring rose 27.9% in October 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 3.1% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 12.5% share in the company’s total hiring activity in October 2022, and recorded a 0.27% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Parexel International IT hiring in October 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Parexel International, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 77.36% in October 2022, and a 17.14% rise over September 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 9.43% in October 2022, and registered growth of 400%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 7.55% in October 2022, a 100% rise from September 2022.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at Parexel International

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global pharma IT hiring activity in October 2022 with a 39.62% share, which marked a 4.55% drop over the previous month.

North America stood next with 33.96%, registering a 157.14% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 16.98% share and a 12.5% rise over September 2022.

In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 7.55% and a month-on-month increase of 100%. South & Central America stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 1.89%, registering a flat growth over the previous month.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 28.3% share in October 2022, an 114.29% growth over September 2022. China featured next with a 26.42% share, up 27.27% over the previous month. Taiwan (Province of China) recorded an 11.32% share, an increase of 100% compared with September 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead Parexel International IT hiring activity in October 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 69.81%, up by 32.14% from September 2022. Entry Level positions with a 16.98% share, a growth of 800% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 11.32% share, down 33.33% over September 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.89%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
