Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 52.08% in February 2022, a 525% rise over the previous month. Computer and Information Analysts came in next, claiming a share of 14.58% in February 2022, marking a 16.67% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 14.58% in February 2022, a flat growth from January 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 357.14% in the overall IT recruitment activity of South & Central America’s pharma industry during February 2022 over previous month.
Johnson & Johnson posted 13 IT jobs in February 2022 and registered an increase of 333.33% over the previous month, followed by Syneos Health with 6 jobs and a 200% growth. Fagron with 5 IT jobs and AbbVie with 4 jobs, recorded a 400% rise and a flat growth, respectively, while Fleury recorded a 300% increase with 4 job postings during February 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in South & Central America’s pharma industry
Brazil commanded a leading presence in the region’s pharma industry IT hiring activity with a 50% share in February 2022, a 242.86% increase over January 2022. Argentina featured next with a 20.83% share, up 150% over the previous month. Costa Rica recorded an 18.75% share, a growth of 80% compared with January 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in February 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 60.42%, up by 52.63% from January 2022. Entry Level positions with a 29.17% share, registered a flat growth compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 10.42% share, up 66.67% over January 2022.
