Spain’s pharma industry registered a 34.6% drop in IT hiring activity in May 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 5.08% in May 2022 when compared with April 2022.
Out of the pharma industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 6.74% share in May 2022, recording a decrease of 1.24% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Spain’s pharma industry’s IT recruitment activity in May 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain’s pharma industry in May 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 63.16% in May 2022, registering a 74.47% decline over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 10.53% share, an increase of 100% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 10.53%, registering a 71.43% decline from April 2022.
4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 10.53%, down 84.62% over the previous month.
Top five pharma companies in Spain’s IT recruitment activity in May 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 76.92% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain’s pharma industry during May 2022 over April 2022.
F. Hoffmann-La Roche posted 5 IT jobs in May 2022 and registered a drop of 82.14% over the previous month, followed by Bayer with 5 jobs and a 37.5% drop. Sanofi with 2 IT jobs and Grifols with 2 jobs, recorded an 88.89% decline and an 81.82% decrease, respectively, while TFS International recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during May 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in May 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 63.16%, down by 70% from April 2022. Entry Level positions with a 21.05% share, registered a flat growth compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 15.79% share, down 87.5% over April 2022.
