Spain’s pharma industry IT recruitment activity rises 18.3% in July 2022

Spain’s pharma industry registered an 18.3% rise in IT hiring activity in July 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 1.22% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.

Out of the pharma industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 9.33% share in July 2022, recording a decrease of 0.91% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Spain’s pharma industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain’s pharma industry in July 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 51.16% in July 2022, registering a 57.14% growth over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 27.91% share, an increase of 50% over the previous month.

3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 11.63%, registering a 66.67% rise from June 2022.

4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 4.65%, flat growth over the previous month.

Top five pharma companies in Spain’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 125% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain’s pharma industry during July 2022 over June 2022.

Eurofins Scientific posted 15 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a rise of 400% over the previous month, followed by Oak Street Health with 6 jobs and a flat growth. F. Hoffmann-La Roche with 6 IT jobs and Bayer with 6 jobs, recorded a 20% growth and a 14.29% decrease, respectively, while Sanofi recorded an increase of 200% with 3 job postings during July 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 67.44%, up by 81.25% from June 2022. Mid Level positions with a 23.26% share, registered an increase of 11.11% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 9.3% share, up 300% over June 2022.
