Spain’s pharma industry registered a 24.8% rise in IT hiring activity in March 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 4.26% in March 2022 when compared with February 2022.

Out of the pharma industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 12.79% share in March 2022, recording an increase of 2.22% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Spain’s pharma industry’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain’s pharma industry in March 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 65.38% in March 2022, registering a 30.77% growth over the previous month.

2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed an 11.54% share, an increase of 100% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 11.54%, registering a 200% rise from February 2022.

4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 7.69%, down 50% over the previous month.

Top five pharma companies in Spain’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 80.77% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Spain’s pharma industry during March 2022 over February 2022.

Sanofi posted 22 IT jobs in March 2022 and registered a rise of 266.67% over the previous month, followed by Grifols with 11 jobs and a 175% growth. PSI CRO with 5 IT jobs, recorded a flat growth, while Bayer recorded a decline of 75% with 4 job postings during March 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in March 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 75%, up by 44.44% from February 2022. Mid Level positions with a 21.15% share, registered an increase of 83.33% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 3.85% share, down 66.67% over February 2022.
