The industry’s overall hiring increased by 167.52% in September 2022 when compared with August 2022.
Out of the pharma industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 1.8% share in September 2022, recording a decrease of 2.4% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in the UK’s pharma industry’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 95.24% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s pharma industry in September 2022.
1) Database and Network Administrators and Architects recorded a share of 36.31% in September 2022, registering a 144% growth over the previous month.
2) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers claimed a 25% share, a decrease of 8.7% over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 16.07%, registering a 50% rise from August 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 8.93%, up 150% over the previous month.
Top five pharma companies in the UK’s IT recruitment activity in September 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 200% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s pharma industry during September 2022 over August 2022.
Your World Healthcare posted 52 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Bausch Health Companies with 32 jobs and a 128.57% growth. AstraZeneca with 9 IT jobs and Exscientia with 8 jobs, recorded a 52.63% decline and a flat growth, respectively, while Spire Healthcare Group recorded an increase of 133.33% with 7 job postings during September 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 79.17%, up by 72.73% from August 2022. Entry Level positions with an 11.9% share, registered an increase of 566.67% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with an 8.93% share, down 11.76% over August 2022.
