PROCESSING TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS: HARD GELATIN CAPSULES

Associated Capsules Pvt Ltd (ACPL) is amongst the world’s largest producer of hard gelatin capsules. All the capsule plants are ISO certified and also have DMF registration. The manufacturing units of ACPL are the only ones that have been inspected by the US FDA.

Gelatin capsules from ACPL are available in the entire size range – 000, 00, 00el, 0, 0el, 1, 2, 3, 4 and the very special tiny size 5 – and in a wide range of colours, with linear and circular printing possibilities.

Lukaps of Croatia, recently acquired by ACG, caters to the hard gelatin capsule requirements of Europe and the Russian continent.

HYDROXY PROXYL METHYL CELLULOSE CAPSULES

Hydroxy Proxyl Methyl Cellulose (HPMC) capsules, or Naturecaps, made from a 100% natural source, are a recent introduction to our range of capsules. Naturecaps are available in 00, 0, 1, 2, 3 or 5 size, and either crystal clear or coloured.

CAPSULE FILLING

Pam offers capsule filling machines with outputs from small clinical trial batches to up to 150,000 capsules per hour. Pam also offers unique capsule fillers capable of filling powders, pellets, tablets, microtablets and liquids in hard capsules.

PERFORMANCE ENHANCERS

Pam supplies various line machines which, in conjunction with automatic capsule-filling machines, minimise manual handling of capsules and powder and ensure quality, reliability and repeatability.

TABLET COMPRESSION SYSTEM

High-tech tablet compression systems from ACG group company Pam have interchangeable turret and virtual zero clearance feeding-systems, saving cost and meeting global quality and efficiency standards. The machine qualifies for D, B, BB, and BBS tooling, providing greater flexibility. No-corner-pillar design and virtual tool less design provides better accessibility, and effective cleaning during product-batch changeover or uptime.

TABLET TOOLING

Dies and punches from ACG group company Ajas are available for every type of tablet press for pharmaceutical and neutraceutical industries. The special-purpose machine matches round and profile tips of punches, enabling the closest tolerance and accuracy for any complicated shape.

PACKAGING SOLUTIONS: PACKAGING FILMS

Packshield, ACG's packaging film division, provides high-quality pharmaceutical barrier packaging films. It manufactures rigid substrate PVC film, high-moisture barrier PVdC coatings and laminations on the film. For even more hygroscopic formulations, Packshield manufactures triplex structure PVC/PE/PVdC films.

BLISTER PACKING

Pampac of ACG offers a wide range of blister packing machines for small, medium and large batch sized pharmaceutical products, with outputs ranging from 25 to over 600 blisters / minute. The machines can handle a variety of films and laminates. Pampac has over 900 installations worldwide.

CARTONING MACHINES

Pampac provides cartoning machines which can handle both rigid and flexible products, irrespective of the batch size, with outputs ranging from 60 to over 200 cartons / minute. Pampac has developed feeding solutions for blisters, tubes, bottles, soaps and combination packs in response to customer requirements.

INTEGRATED LINE SOLUTIONS

Pampac offers fully automated and integrated blister-cartoning line combinations. Colour as well as black and white camera systems, and pharma code detection systems for online inspection, are available.

END-OF-LINE SOLUTIONS

Pam offers a compact, automatic, servo controlled, vertical case packer. The case packer can be integrated with an automatic palletiser for further automation.

SECURITY SOLUTIONS – BRAND SHIELD

A strong security solution offered by ACG to fight counterfeit drugs, Brand Shield is a unique printing technology which prints each capsule in two colours all around with perfect orientation, which is virtually impossible to duplicate.

The cost of Brand Shield security is marginal compared to the loss in sales and high litigation costs of counterfeit drugs. Brand shield is the most economic form of drug protection as it makes it easy for the customers to identify the original brand and demonstrates your commitment to healthcare and quality.
